Mayor Judy Kennedy will host five visiting Mayors from the country of Ukraine along with their U.S. hosts from the Hudson Valley Chapter of Friendship Force International (FFI) on Saturday, March 22 for a day of Cultural Exchange.
The day will begin at Kaplan Hall, SUNY Orange at 74 Grand Street at 9:30 a.m.
This event is made possible by a grant awarded to FFI by the Open World Leadership Center. Cultural exchanges are organized through a volunteer network of 350 chapters (clubs) in 58 countries, connected globally through FFI, a non-profit organization with offices in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. FFI has a thirty-year history of bringing people together in friendship across the barriers that separate people.
The schedule is as follows:
9:30 a.m. Light breakfast/meet & greet Kaplan Hall Great Room, SUNY Orange, 74 Grand Street
10 a.m. – noon Q & A (Kaplan Hall)
12:30- 4 p.m. Tour of various locations of interest around the City
4 p.m.: Newburgh Brewery for informal friendship sharing & get acquainted
